Serve as first-line responder, injury manager, and liaison for youth and collegiate athletes in a dynamic sports environment.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training or Physiology.
  • Nationally Certified Athletic Trainer.
Experience
  • Two (2) years of experience in Athletic Training.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provides on-site injury prevention, taping, bracing, and warm‑up supervision before practices/games.
  • Responds to acute injuries and emergencies during practices and games.
  • Conducts injury evaluations, coordinates referrals, and communicates with parents, coaches, and physicians.
  • Manages concussion protocols, return‑to‑play progression, and hydration/heat illness monitoring.
  • Travels with teams as needed, often working afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
  • Conduct musculoskeletal assessments using clinical and functional testing.
  • Develops and implements individualized treatment plans.
  • Coordinates referrals to physicians, physical therapists, or specialists when necessary.
  • Administers therapeutic exercises and modalities to promote healing.
  • Tracks progress and adjusts plans based on patient/athlete recovery status.
  • Educates on injury prevention and safe return‑to‑activity protocols.
  • Maintains detailed and accurate treatment records.
  • Ensures compliance with HIPAA, state regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Communicates regularly with medical professionals, coaches, parents, and/or patients.
  • Serves as a resource for injury prevention and athletic health education.
  • Determines fitness for participation pre‑season and post‑injury.
  • Assists in the selection and fitting of protective equipment.
  • Maintains an effective and efficient athletic training room, equipment, and related implements.
Physical Requirements
  • Requires the ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for prolonged periods of time.

  • Potential exposure to blood borne pathogens and bodily fluids.
