Slot Attendant

The opportunity

Delaware North Gaming is hiring a part‑time Slot Machine Attendant to join our team at Wheeling Island Casino in Wheeling, West Virginia. As a Slot Machine Attendant, you will work on the gaming floor, contributing to a successful gaming operation by providing maintenance of floor equipment and assisting gaming guests as needed.

Please note this is a tipped position, the hourly minimum pay listed doesn’t include any potential tipped earnings.

$11.20 – $14.70 / hour

• Monitor slot machines, change and fix ticket paper as needed
• Perform adjustments to slot machines, resolving problems such as jams or machine tilts, and perform minor repairs contacting repair technician or supervisor for assistance as needed
• Record the specifics of malfunctioning machines and document malfunctions needing repair
• Patrol assigned areas to ensure that players are following rules, machines are functioning correctly, and assist guests

• Must be 21 years of age
• No experience or diploma required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a state gaming license
• Excellent guest service skills
• Ability to perform basic math calculations and accurately handle large sums of money

• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
• Frequent standing and walking for the entire length of shift
• Exposure to secondhand smoke and moderate to high noise levels at times
