Focusing on what makes our clients unique we match them with the talent they need to continue to grow. We are currently searching for a National Sales Rep for our client located in Wheeling, IL. This is a full-time office role with some overnight travel required.
Our client is a growing company that offers premium concrete sealers, topical coatings, and related supplies to concrete professionals since 1988. Their concrete floor sealers have been used to protect millions of square feet of beautiful, durable floors, and their Counter top Systems have been protecting concrete countertops for more than a decade with water-based, FDA compliant sealers that provide a natural appearance, unbeaten abrasion resistance, superior heat resistance, and excellent stain resistance.
V-Seal has provided materials for such projects as Disney Land, Universal Studios, Harvard University, The Ohio State University, The Rose Bowl, Dallas Cowboy Stadium, Bellagio, MGM, US Army, US Air Force, NASA, and the airports in Tampa, Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas, Cincinnati and LaGuardia.
In this exciting role you will manage existing customers, develop new customer relationships, and grow profitable sales across the defined territory and customer base. The Sales Rep will develop and execute a comprehensive sales channel strategy that drives expansion of the customer base, improves sales revenue and profit, and enhances market recognition of V-Seal's products.
The ideal candidate has experience in the concrete floor coatings or sealers market, is a team player with effective interpersonal skills, and an open, collaborative style. Resourceful and results driven, the Sales Representative is an entrepreneurial self-starter who can operate with a passion to succeed. This is an office-based position in the north Chicago suburbs that will require some overnight travel.
Responsibilities- Manage key relationship activities and initiatives with our customers at all levels, across different sales channels.
- Develop and execute a sales strategy for our existing product lines that will meet or exceed the company’s sales goals.
- Engage with existing customers to strengthen incremental revenue growth through new product development, applications projects, and new commercial opportunities.
- Provide technical information and applications support for existing and new customers.
- Respond to customer enquiries providing technical information, price quotations, promotional and marketing materials, product availability and samples.
- Execute customer nurturing follow up activities, including additional phone and e-mail contact, sample follow up and encouraging ongoing collaboration.
- Coordinate with different functional areas such as Marketing, R&D, Customer Service, Supply Chain, and Management to ensure a positive and profitable customer experience.
- Participate in industry trade shows, association gatherings, and sales meetings as needed.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced business environment.
- Must have concrete floor coatings experience.
- Experience selling to Contractors/ Construction Management/Building Materials.
- Three years of relevant sales and technical experience, preferably at a national level.
- Proven results in working with and growing an independent wholesale distribution network in the building materials sector.
- Proven results working with and growing an independent contractor network in the building materials sector.
