Job Overview
Graze Craze of Wheeling is seeking a dedicated, creative, and hands-on Store Manager to lead daily operations and oversee the creation of our signature charcuterie boards and boxes. This role is perfect for someone who loves food, design, customer interaction, and team leadership—and is excited to help launch and grow a new local business.
You will manage the store while actively participating in food preparation, customer service, catering coordination, and team leadership in a fast-paced, positive environment.
Key Responsibilities Store Operations & Leadership- Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Lead, train, schedule, and support team members (Graze-ologists & catering staff)
- Ensure consistent quality, presentation, and brand standards
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety compliance throughout the store
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage supplies
- Use the Toast POS system to process phone, online, and walk-in orders (training provided)
- Design and assemble visually stunning grazing boards and boxes tailored to client needs
- Select and prepare high-quality cheeses, meats, fruits, nuts, breads, and accompaniments
- Follow build sheets and recipes to ensure consistency and efficiency
- Operate kitchen equipment safely (knives, slicer, mixers, counter top ovens)
- Greet customers and help them select the best options for events and gatherings
- Communicate with clients regarding preferences, themes, and dietary restrictions
- Assist with catering setup, presentation, and occasional deliveries
- Provide exceptional customer service both in-store and at events
- Support wedding shows, community events, and after-hours catering when needed
- Bring creativity and an eye for design to every board and display
- Stay up to date on food trends and presentation techniques
- Assist with taking photos and videos for social media content (Instagram, etc.)
- Help generate excitement and community awareness for the store
- Previous experience in food service, catering, hospitality, or retail management preferred
- Strong creativity with an eye for design and aesthetics
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable leading a team while also working hands-on
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices (Serv Safe required or willingness to obtain)
- Confident with basic culinary skills, including knife handling and food prep
- Social media savvy is a plus
- Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and energetic
- Typical store hours:
Monday–Friday 10:00am–6:00pm, Saturday 10:00am-3:00pm - Flexible availability, including weekends and some holidays
- Additional hours may be available for events, catering, and wedding shows
