Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Manager to develop, implement, and enforce food safety standards and quality assurance programs. This role involves ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, managing HACCP and regulatory audits, and conducting food safety training programs.

Responsibilities- Develop, interpret, and implement Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures and standards, including SOPs, KPIs, and GMPs.
- Evaluate the adequacy of current Quality Assurance and Quality Control standards.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and system requirements.
- Devise sampling procedures and instructions for recording and reporting quality data.
- Review and enhance the efficiency of quality and inspection systems.
- Plan, conduct, and monitor testing and inspection of materials and products to ensure finished product quality.
- Document internal audits and other quality assurance activities.
- Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues, and develop corrective and preventative actions.
- Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system and prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities.
- Identify training needs and organize training interventions to meet quality standards.
- Coordinate and support on-site audits conducted by external providers and evaluate audit findings to develop and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure quality of processes from supplier materials for production.
- Seek ways to reduce waste and increase efficiency within the organization.
- Manage document systems related to quality management.
- Implement best practices in quality management and related areas.
- Promote product quality and customer service excellence to achieve business goals and culture.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in food safety/quality in food or food packaging manufacturing.
- Experience implementing SQF quality systems.
- Experience with HACCP and leading SQF Audits.
- Experience developing new SOPs.
- Strong creative problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
This is a Permanent position based out of Wheeling, IL.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
Workplace TypeThis is a fully onsite position in Wheeling, IL.
