Mad Science is seeking energetic teachers to lead hands‑on science adventures for elementary‑aged children. You will build rockets, explore chemical reactions, and spark curiosity through inquiry‑based discovery. The curriculum and supplies are pre‑set; you train on the science.
Each class is high‑energy and interactive. Classes last one hour, some camps run an entire day. Most activity is outreach, though some takes place at our lab.
When you aren’t teaching, you support our Operations team, maintaining client relationships, handling inquiries, and creating new business opportunities.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Lead classroom activities and facilitate hands‑on science experiments.
- Maintain client relationships and update contact databases.
- Handle incoming programming inquiries.
- Create new business opportunities (schools, organizations, camps).
- Assist with client communications such as booking confirmations, invoices, follow‑up surveys, and requested promotional material.
Experience working with elementary‑age children (5‑12) as a teacher, teacher’s assistant, instructor, or camp counselor.
Must be available at least four days per week (flexible 9‑5) and work at least twice a month on weekend programs. Schedule flexible to 30‑40 hours per week.
Must have a reliable car and valid driver’s license.
All employees require a criminal background check.
Fun, outgoing personality with reliability and dependability. Able to lift up to 25 pounds.
