Job LocationWe are now hiring a full‑time Early Childhood Behavioral Health Social Worker/Counselor at our DuPage center!
SalaryThe average starting rate for this position will fall in the range of $58,000 to $68,321 annually. Candidates’ pay will be based on skill and experience level.
Essential Job Functions- Perform comprehensive in‑depth assessments for a variety of program services and perform intake as assigned.
- Provide full range of case management, counseling, advocacy, educational, and relational services.
- Learn and utilize agency and community resources.
- Assess community conditions affecting clients to identify resource gaps and problems and recommend financial assistance.
- Provide group services as indicated by program need.
- May be responsible for meeting contractual requirements such as 24‑hour coverage.
- Represent and interpret agency programs in the community.
- May serve on regional or agency‑wide committees.
- Meet agency expectations for quantity of direct service.
- Comply with agency record‑keeping expectations.
- Work effectively with diverse staff and service population.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Master’s degree in social work or counseling from an accredited college or university.
- Must have applied to take the LSW or LPC exam.
- Provide a range of therapeutic services to children ages 0‑5 enrolled in the Early Learning Program.
- Collaborate with the Early Learning Program Team to support the child and family in the classroom, at home, and in the community.
- Provide trainings and workshops to staff, teachers, parents, and community partners.
- Possess knowledge and experience with the early childhood population, attachment, trauma, and child development.
- Require mobility to work with a community‑based caseload and maintain assigned community and home‑based services.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups.
- Satisfactorily pass all screenings and criminal background checks.
Driving with a personally owned vehicle is required.
Physical DemandsWhile performing the essential duties, the employee is required to sit and stand for sustained periods of time, frequently talk, hear, use hands and fingers to feel, handle, and operate objects or controls, and occasionally stand, bend, stretch, stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee must have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing and viewing a computer terminal.
