The salary range for this position is $38.00 - $38.00 (Hourly Rate). Placement within the salary range is dependent on relevant work experience and internal equity. For positions represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range is guided by the collective bargaining agreement.

Schedule:
IHR (In‑House Registry) to cover PTO, leave, or schedule gaps. Expectation: 192 hours in a year, which includes 4 weekend days per quarter and 2 holidays. Monday‑Friday weekday availability is also preferred. Not a benefited position.
The Physical Therapist Assistant reflects the mission, vision, and values of NMHC, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
The Physical Therapist Assistant assists in the practice of Physical Therapy under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. The Physical Therapist Assistant assists with providing safe and effective physical therapy services to persons impaired by physical illness or injury, congenital or developmental disability and/or the aging process, under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist in all practice settings.
This is an On‑Call/PRN position with opportunities to work at any of our network locations, which include Wheaton, Downers Grove, Palos Heights, Elmhurst, Homer Glen, and Oak Brook Terrace.
- Assumes responsibility and is accountable for providing physical therapy modalities and treatment procedures as determined by a treatment plan established by a physical therapist and in accordance with established hospital and departmental policies while maintaining the highest degree of quality patient care.
- Provides physical therapy interventions in accordance with the treatment plan; provides patient and family teaching and works cooperatively with other patient team personnel. These functions are carried out according to hospital policy in accordance with the mission and vision of the hospital and with the philosophy of the department. May modify a specific intervention procedure in accordance with changes in patient status and within the scope of the established plan of care.
Any modification beyond the established plan of care requires the approval of the physical therapist. - Collaborates with supervising physical therapist regarding termination of services when maximum benefit is achieved.
