Water Engineering Technician

The Virtual Design & Data Solutions (VDDS) Staff Engineering Technician, under general supervision, performs advanced functions requiring technical knowledge and use of electronic applications, standards, and document control processes/procedures in support of creating or modifying deliverables.

This role will be responsible for the development of site drainage, grading, and utility plans using Autodesk Civil 3D and Bentley Micro Station. It will be within the Client’s Governments & Water Utilities (G&Wu) group, supporting client needs related to water, wastewater, linear pipelines, and other water‑related solutions.

• Develop site drainage, grading, and utility plans using Autodesk Civil 3D and Bentley Micro Station.
• Support the Client’s G&Wu group on water, wastewater, linear pipelines, and other water‑related projects.

• Advanced Autodesk Civil 3D experience with pipe/pressure networks, proposed grading surfaces, and plan and profile development.
• Familiarity with plan and profile drawings, alignments, pipe networks, and grading.
• Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
• Proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD and other electronic applications required for CADD or similar tasks.
• Advanced ability to interpret engineering deliverable content as assigned.
• Basic knowledge of engineering standards, systems, document control, departmental guides, and B&V policies and procedures.
• Basic knowledge of industry trends, company quality program, and other disciplines.
• Basic knowledge of construction & constructability practices & principles.
• Basic knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides related to the assigned discipline.

Diploma or Certificate preferred. Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.
