FACS Teacher – Part‑time (0.4 FTE) – Glenbard South High School – 10‑month term (2026‑2027)

Licensure & Qualifications- Current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement in the subject area noted.
- Licensed High School Teacher at Glenbard South.
- Knowledge of best practices related to supporting all students’ ability to learn.
- Proficient at reading, analyzing, and interpreting documents; writing professional communications; and presenting information effectively.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and community members, and to communicate clearly and concisely in oral and written form.
- Basic mathematical proficiency and problem‑solving skills in situations with limited standardization.
- Current technology skills as directed by district requirements.
- Plan and deliver instruction that meets the needs of each student, using a variety of techniques and media.
- Prepare detailed daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum objectives and provide them upon supervisor request.
- Maintain the highest level of ethical and professional demeanor consistent with district policies on sexual harassment, equal educational opportunity, ethics, and electronic media.
- Achieve curriculum objectives expected for the grade level and subject taught.
- Teach assigned classes at designated times and locations.
- Develop clear and consistent evaluation procedures understood by students and parents in line with district policy.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, parents, students, peers, and reference groups.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law and district policy.
- Assist in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations, and Board policy.
- Provide appropriate supervision and take reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Refrain from administering corporal punishment or physically touching students.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Regular sitting while talking or hearing; frequent standing, walking, and operating copying equipment; repetitive hand and arm motions such as typing.
- Close vision required; ability to adjust focus and withstand extended use of video display terminals (VDT).
- Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds (e.g., reference books).
- Moderate noise level and fast pace of work tasks.
- Work primarily conducted at Glenbard South; occasional travel to meetings, conferences, or workshops at other sites.
