Salary: $28,290 Prorated based on start date

- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with Endorsements (PEL);
Educator License with Stipulations with a Paraprofessional Educator Endorsement (ELS); or At least 19 years of age with one of the following: - Associate’s degree or higher
- 60 semester hours of coursework
- High School Diploma or GED and a score of 460 or higher on the ETS Parapro
- High School Diploma or GED and the following scores on the ACT Workkeys:
Applied Mathematics/Applied Math (score of
4), Reading for information/Workplace Documents (score of
4) - Successful Pre‑school experience is preferred in regular education or special education.
- Implementing classroom structures and systems, reinforcing classroom lessons & skills.
- Assisting with instruction in small groups and 1:1 settings.
- Facilitating positive peer interactions and relationships.
- Assisting with students' developing executive functioning skills.
- Supervision and support during recess and arrival/dismissal, attending to students' unique personal needs.
- Establishing and maintaining positive, collaborative relationships with all stakeholders in support of creating a positive school community.
- Integrating D90 practices around equity & inclusivity into daily work and relationships with students, families, & colleagues.
- Performing additional duties as assigned by Special Education Case Manager/Teacher, Building Principal, Director of Student Services or Superintendent.
