Purpose:
Provide support, organization and leadership in Art, Music or PE curriculum and instruction across all elementary buildings. Serve as an informed resource in best instructional practices for elementary learning and teaching. Assist department members and school and district leaders in developing a collaborative culture focused on student growth.

Essential Functions:

Facilitate department meetings, drafting agendas and ensuring notes are recorded.

Ensure all department members have access to curriculum, assessments and supplies.

Assist administrators as an expert resource regarding curriculum, assessments, supplies and scheduling.

Coordinate curriculum alignment with middle school and high school department leaders and District administrators.

Ensure that all department members have access to student growth measures and communicate how to enter and report data.

Meet with District Curriculum Coordinators on a monthly basis to study, evaluate and make recommendations for the improvement of curriculum, instruction, and assessment, and for the professional development of the department.

This is an Extra Duty Assignment.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
