Description
Indian Prairie School District 204, located in Naperville and Aurora, Illinois, is seeking an outstanding educational leader to provide leadership in curriculum and instruction at the high school level. The role will help achieve our mission of inspiring all students to reach their greatest potential. This full‑time position starts July 1, 2026 and follows a 12‑month calendar.
Job SummaryIn this capacity, the Director will develop a systematic approach to assessment and professional learning that supports student achievement, teacher development, and program design. Through modeling professional expertise and facilitating positive change, the Director will be central to the successful implementation of the district’s Multi‑Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework and will keep the assigned curricular program organized and effective.
Responsibilities- Provide leadership in curricular development and instructional practice at the high‑school level.
- Oversee curriculum areas including textbook review and adoption, horizontal and vertical curriculum articulation, curriculum development processes, best practices for delivery, committee development, stakeholder communication, professional development, and technology integration.
- Collaborate with teachers, department chairs, and administrators to enhance instructional practices and build collective capacity.
- Ensure MTSS interventions are effectively designed and implemented at all tiers.
- Conduct research and data analysis to evaluate instructional programs and recommend improvements.
- Present curriculum and instruction recommendations to the Assistant Superintendent and/or the Board of Education.
- Direct, coordinate and facilitate activities to meet district and Board goals.
- Manage instructional materials, equipment, and supplies to support consistent delivery of curriculum and instruction.
- Oversee the assigned budget efficiently.
- Communicate positively, individually and in groups, with media, parents, staff, and the community about achievements and concerns.
- Apply knowledge of AI and other technologies in learning, teaching, assessment, and information management.
- Follow the direction of the supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Strong knowledge of current research and practices in public education.
- Demonstrated competence in leadership, management, interpersonal relations, and communications.
- High ethical standards and integrity.
- Understanding of teaching methods, educational pedagogy, and behavioral management.
- Familiarity with administration and supervision concepts.
- Knowledge of applicable federal and state education laws.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
- Ability to develop and implement projects.
- Proficiency in preparing oral and written communications for the Board, staff, students, and parents.
- Capacity to build cooperative working relationships.

- Computer network and software application proficiency.
Qualified candidate must have a valid Illinois Professional Educator License with a General Administrative endorsement. Successful high‑school teaching experience is preferred. A minimum of four years of leadership and curriculum development experience is preferred, along with demonstrated experience with the MTSS framework and data analysis in an educational setting.
Rate of Pay & BenefitsStarting rate of pay: $137,017 – $185,637.
