Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation and adoption of instructional materials.
  • Assist with the supervision, escorting, and instruction of students as directed.
  • Assist with the maintenance of accurate records on student progress.
  • Assist the teacher with all aspects of the daily instructional program.
  • Participate in staff development activities as directed by contract.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by administration.
  • Support general supervision of classrooms, washrooms, playgrounds, cafeteria, library, hallways, and other instructional settings.
  • Bilingual preferred.
Hours

35 hours a week, 7 hours a day (8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.) with a 30‑minute duty‑free lunch. Elementary school schedule.

Qualifications
  • Paraprofessional License – visit  to learn how to apply for a license.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively with district employees.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, visual, and verbal form.
  • Work involves walking, talking, hearing, using hands to handle or operate objects or controls, and reaching with hands and arms.
  • Vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • May be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 20 pounds.
