Statement of approval issued by the Illinois State Certification Board.

• Assists in implementing the modifications and accommodations outlined in a student's IEP.
• Assists with data collection aligned with a student’s IEP.
• Assists with classroom activities, reinforces lessons, and applies any behavioral management system under the direction of the Case Manager in collaboration with the classroom teacher.
• Assists with individualized program materials.
• Participates in multidisciplinary staffing when requested by the Case Manager or Director of Student Services
• Assists with small groups of children.
• Participates in appropriate staff development programs.
• Supervises the playground, bus activities, lunchroom, and assists students with extra needs as necessary to a student’s IEP.
• Performs other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as may be assigned.

Hours:

7:20 AM – 2:50 PM

Salary: $17.27/hour

Schedule:

10-month position

• Awareness and ability to work with a group of students with varied disabilities rather than a single disability.
• Statement of approval issued by the Illinois State Certification Board.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

The position will be evaluated at least once annually (by May 15) by the building principal/designee with input from collaborating teacher(s).
