In the role of Full‑Time Designer II at BDC Laboratories, you will dive headfirst into managing and executing multifaceted projects that bridge creativity and technical precision. Your day‑to‑day will involve coordinating project schedules, conducting in‑depth research, and overseeing the design and manufacturing processes, including acceptance testing. You’ll work closely with team members and management to develop innovative designs, facilitating modifications and troubleshooting issues as they come up.

To thrive as a Full‑Time Designer II at BDC Laboratories, you’ll need a robust skill set that merges creativity with technical know‑how. A minimum of an Associate Degree in a design‑based field, paired with at least 2 years of relevant experience (or 5 years of equivalent experience), is essential. You must possess an advanced proficiency in industry‑standard Computer Aided Design (CAD) software, complemented by knowledge of engineering design practices, dimensioning, tolerancing, and the creation of manufacturing drawings.

Organizational prowess and strong analytical problem‑solving abilities will be key, along with the capacity to conduct basic statistical calculations effectively. The ability to read and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations is crucial, as is your talent for presenting information clearly to management and team members. Successful candidates will display strong verbal and writing skills, as well as good interpersonal and leadership abilities, all while demonstrating proficiency in a Windows environment, particularly Word and Excel.
