Biomedical Device Consultants & Laboratories () is a fast‑growing company that offers comprehensive medical device testing services, designs verification test equipment, and produces silicone mock vessels to the medical device community in support of domestic and international regulatory submissions and approvals. Our primary focus is cardiovascular technologies such as endovascular stents, prosthetic heart valves, and catheters. Overview

As a Full‑Time Designer II, you will dive head‑first into managing and executing multifaceted projects that bridge creativity and technical precision. Your day‑to‑day will involve coordinating project schedules, conducting in‑depth research, and overseeing the design and manufacturing processes, including acceptance testing. You’ll work closely with team members and management to develop innovative designs, facilitating modifications and troubleshooting issues as they arise.

By sharing your expertise on manufacturing techniques, materials, and their properties, you’ll empower your peers and elevate the team's performance. Expect to create detailed drawings and schematics while analyzing product specifications to ensure they align with our current manufacturing capabilities. Additionally, your role will require interfacing with suppliers and customers to champion new products, all while setting a stellar example as a role model within a high‑performance culture.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Minimum Associate Degree in a design‑based field and at least 2 years of relevant experience (or 5 years of equivalent experience).
  • Advanced proficiency in industry‑standard Computer Aided Design (CAD) software and knowledge of engineering design practices, dimensioning, tolerancing, and the creation of manufacturing drawings.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities, with ability to perform and report basic statistical calculations.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations, and effectively present information to managers and team members.
  • Strong verbal and writing skills, good interpersonal and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency with Windows environment (Word and Excel).

Compensation

Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 per year.
