Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Automotive Inventory Clerk to join our dealership team. The Inventory Clerk is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate vehicle inventory records, ensuring all incoming and outgoing vehicles are properly documented, and supporting the sales and management teams with inventory-related tasks. This role is critical to keeping dealership operations running smoothly and ensuring inventory accuracy across systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Track and maintain accurate records of all new and used vehicle inventory.
Enter and update vehicle information in dealership management systems (stock numbers, VINs, pricing, and vehicle details).
Monitor incoming vehicle shipments and confirm receipt of vehicles.
Coordinate with sales, management, and service departments regarding vehicle status and availability.
Ensure vehicles are properly tagged, stocked, and accounted for on the lot.
Assist with inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies when needed.
Maintain documentation for vehicle purchases, transfers, and wholesales.
Support pricing updates and vehicle listing accuracy across internal systems and online platforms.
Work with management to ensure proper lot organization and inventory flow.

Qualifications:

Previous automotive dealership experience preferred but not required.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
Basic computer skills and experience with spreadsheets or dealership management systems.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to walk the lot and verify physical inventory as needed.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with dealership inventory systems or DMS platforms.
Knowledge of VIN decoding, vehicle trims, and automotive terminology.
Experience with inventory audits or reconciliation.
