In Weymouth and Portland PCN at least 13% of the entire population smoke, with even higher proportions in the most deprived groups.
We are intending to increase our smoke stop offer - and are looking for a smoke stop trained individual who is able to work across the PCN to deliver additional clinics. We will only be offering nicotine replacement therapy in these clinics, no oral medications - and we will follow the 'not one puff' strategy.
The clinics will be a combination of face to face and telephone appointments as appropriate. The intention is that they will be in a variety of settings , not just in GP Surgeries. There may be evening (telephone only) and Saturday morning clinics as well.
