Senior Electronics Engineer

Position: Senior Electronics Engineer (Permanent)
We are recruiting for a Senior Electronics Engineer to join a specialist engineering consultancy delivering bespoke electronic systems for high-integrity sectors including defence, aerospace, industrial and medical.

This is a hands-on senior role with real technical ownership. You will work across a wide range of projects, from early concept through to manufacture and delivery, often dealing with problems that do not come with a ready-made solution.

This role will suit an experienced engineer who enjoys variety, autonomy, and responsibility, and who may be interested in stepping into broader technical leadership over time.

What you will be doing

* Designing board-level digital and analogue electronics

* Developing embedded firmware in C/C++

* Owning designs end-to-end, from specification through build, test and production

* Working across multiple concurrent projects with varying life cycles

* Supporting test development, verification and manufacturing activities

* Mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction where appropriate

* Engaging directly with internal stakeholders and, where required, customers

What we are looking for

* Strong experience in electronics design and embedded firmware

* Confident working with microcontrollers (e.g. STM
32, Atmel or similar)

* Comfortable taking responsibility for delivery, not just design

* Experience in regulated or safety-critical environments is advantageous

* Ability to work on-site as part of a small, collaborative engineering team

* UK right to work and eligibility for UK security clearance
