We are looking for an experienced VP of Operations to lead our manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and facilities teams. In this pivotal role, you will combine high-level strategic planning with hands-on execution to ensure excellence across safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
As a core member of our leadership team, you will translate market demands and customer needs into scalable strategies. You will drive operational performance, foster innovation, and champion continuous improvement across all facets of production, procurement, logistics, and partnerships.
What You'll Do
- Drive Operational Strategy: oversee long-term planning for manufacturing, production control, inventory, purchasing, and shipping.
- Lead with a Customer-First Mindset: Translate customer requirements into advanced manufacturing processes that deliver high-quality, cost-effective products.
- Optimize Resources: Direct and allocate resources efficiently to hit organizational targets.
- Build High-Performing Teams: Mentor and motivate individuals to achieve breakthrough improvements.
- Champion Safety & Excellence: Cultivate a safe, compliant, and innovative work environment.
- Ensure Quality & Delivery: Take ownership of product quality and on-time delivery metrics.
- Manage Costs: Implement systems to control costs and maximize profitability.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with production staff and leadership to drive success.
- Oversee Budgets & Policy: Develop operational plans, budgets, and policies that support company goals.
- Lead EHS Initiatives: Drive environmental, health, and safety goals across all manufacturing operations.
- Experienced Leader: You have a technical bachelor's degree (MBA preferred) and 10+ years of relevant experience. Experience in a private equity-owned environment is a plus.
- Manufacturing Expert: You bring proven leadership in component manufacturing, ideally with knowledge of electromechanical components like switches, relays, or connectors.
- Lean Specialist: You possess deep expertise in Lean manufacturing, 5S, and advanced problem-solving. A Black Belt Lean Certification is strongly preferred.
- Tech-Savvy: You are experienced with ERP systems (Infor Syteline/Cloud Suite Industrial is a plus) and modern manufacturing tech.
- Proven Scaler: You have a track record of managing teams of 200+ employees and revenue exceeding $100M.
- Change Agent: You have successfully transformed mature manufacturing environments into modern lean operations, improving lead times and empowering employees.
- Agile: You thrive in fast-paced environments and can manage multiple priorities with ease.
- Communicator: You possess excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Physical: Must be able to sit, stand, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Environment: A mix of manufacturing floor and office settings. You may be exposed to noise, dust, heat, cold, and odors.
