Hours:

Under the direct supervision of licensed clinical staff, you will assist therapists in routine tasks for therapeutic treatment of patients, and support the department supervisor/manager in coordinating the department’s function and maintenance.
CompensationPay range: $16.67 – $22.43 per hour.
Essential Functions- Assist licensed staff with patient care activities, including patient room set‑ups, exercise equipment set‑ups, video fluoroscopic swallow studies, second‑person assistance, and acquiring assistive devices.
- Obtain durable medical equipment and related paperwork.
- Assist with treatment of assigned patients under supervision of clinical staff.
- Maintain clinical flow and support the clinical schedule.
- Support environment and department maintenance, including infection control, equipment cleaning, temperature checks, and departmental checklists.
- Perform clerical duties such as scheduling appointments, answering phones, calling patients, inventory management, photocopying, faxing, scanning, data collection, and payment collection.
- Communicate effectively with staff, peers, patients, and families; alert manager of departmental or patient issues.
- Serve as mentor to new rehabilitation aide staff and participate in department projects/events.
- Engage in continuous quality improvement activities and professional development.
- Apply new technologies and procedures, and accurately use software applications for job performance.
- Maintain professional behavior, composure, and critical thinking in day‑to‑day operations.
- Demonstrate willingness to take on activities related to the development of the department and hospital.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum 1-year healthcare‑related experience preferred (rehabilitation experience desirable).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; instructor certification available through SSH.
- Work hours:
Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays 8–1 pm;
Wednesdays 2:15–7:15 pm.
