Under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, Supervisor, and/or Director of Pharmacy Services, performs a wide variety of Pharmacy duties to meet the needs for patients in the hospital. Pharmacy Technician duties include filling routine drug orders for unit dose medications, refilling medications in Pharmacy Automated Dispensing Cabinets, performing Non‑Sterile and Sterile Compounding. Other duties include repackaging of medication into unit dose barcoded packages, replenishing code cart drug supply and performing inventory duties for the Central Pharmacy operation.
Responsibilities- Fill routine drug orders for unit dose medications.
- Refill medications in Pharmacy Automated Dispensing Cabinets.
- Perform Non‑Sterile and Sterile Compounding.
- Repackage medication into unit dose barcoded packages.
- Replenish code cart drug supply.
- Perform inventory duties for Central Pharmacy operation.
- High school level of education.
- Minimum of 3 months work experience as Pharmacy Technician preferred; hospital pharmacy experience desirable.
- RPT or RPI – Registered Pharmacy Technician or Registered Pharmacy Intern required.
- RPT or RPI – Registered Pharmacy Technician or Registered Pharmacy Intern.
- CPhT – Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB).
- ExCPT – Certified Pharmacy Technician.
- Certification not required for Registered Intern.
Pay Range: $23.23 – $31.26 per hour.
Shift InformationShift options: 6:30 am – 2:30 pm; 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm; 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm. Per diem available. Varied shifts (United States of America).
