Residential Clinician – Co‑Occurring Enhanced Residential Rehabilitation Services (Weymouth)

Base pay range: $62,000 – $70,000 per year.

With over 5,000 patients served across Massachusetts, SMG offers medication management, intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs, TMS, in‑house lab services, and three levels of housing — Medicaid‑reimbursed Co‑Occurring Recovery Residences, self‑pay sober homes, and state‑sponsored low‑threshold housing.

Program Overview

The COERRS program fosters a culture of respect, collaboration, and empathy while continuously learning and maintaining work/life balance and accountability. The residential recovery program is trauma‑informed, harm‑reduction‑focused, and designed to help motivated individuals improve their daily lives. Residents engage in group work, community building, and life‑skills activities to support independent living.

Position Summary

As a Residential Clinician at Gayle House, a 24‑bed intensive treatment program for adult women, you will join a multidisciplinary team in a modern setting focused on recovery and independent living. Your responsibilities include supervising two case managers, leading groups, providing individual and family counseling, and coordinating care. The role offers consistent supervision, professional development, a competitive salary, and benefits within a rapidly growing organization.

Qualifications

& Education
  • LADC‑I, LCSW, CADAC, LICSW or LMHC in Massachusetts (preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years of residential or inpatient treatment experience.
  • Experience with substance use disorder and co‑occurring disorders.
  • Master’s degree in social work, counseling or related discipline.
Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the COE Residential Program using an evidence‑based curriculum and individual service plan goals.
  • Provide compassionate, non‑judgmental clinical treatment and care coordination within scope of practice.
  • Complete biopsychosocial assessments.
  • Lead therapy groups.
  • Coordinate care with collateral and family members as needed.
  • Provide crisis intervention services when necessary.
  • Engage in program milieu activities such as onboarding new residents, drug screens, room searches, and community meetings.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Collaborate with the COE team to develop, implement, and revise clinical programming proposals, ensuring regulatory compliance and program goals.
  • Work with the Program and Clinical Director to manage financial objectives, expense control, and revenue production while maintaining program structure.
