Job Description

Long Term Substitute Teacher – LBLC Special Education. Weymouth Public Schools is a dynamic and inclusive learning community dedicated to "Educational Excellence for Every Weymouth Student." We educate over 5,600 students in 11 school buildings, including Weymouth Early Childhood Center, eight elementary schools (grades K‑5), Chapman Middle School (grades 6‑8), and Weymouth High School (Grades 9‑12).

Qualifications
  • Licensed with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Moderate Disabilities PreK‑8, preferred
  • Must hold a bachelor's degree or higher
General Duties

Fills in for teacher while absent and in general performs all of the daily responsibilities and duties of that teacher.

* The LBLC Program is designed for students who have been identified by their IEP Team as having a Language-Based Learning Disability. Students in this program qualify under the primary disability category of either Communication Impairment or Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) in Reading and Writing.

Specific Duties
  • Instructs classes following teacher's lesson plans
  • Performs regular daily duties assigned to the teacher
  • Follows policies and procedures of the Weymouth Public Schools
  • Start Immediately for an undetermined period of time for 2025‑2026 SY

Rate = 1-30 days: $134.25/day, 31-60 days: $161.25/day, 61+ days: TBD
