Financial Accountant

Cedar is partnering with a high-growth, PE-backed international organisation to appoint a Group Financial Accountant within its central finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly or recently qualified ACA to build on their training in a fast-scaling, commercially driven environment. The business operates across multiple European markets and is undergoing significant expansion, offering strong exposure to international operations, senior stakeholders, and group-level finance activity.

You will play a key role in financial reporting, controls, and decision support, working closely with senior finance leadership and partnering with stakeholders across the organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

Preparing monthly management accounts for multiple group entities, including variance analysis and commentary Supporting the year-end statutory accounts preparation and external audit process Assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities across the group Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining robust financial controls Supporting cash flow forecasting and working capital management

Assisting with tax compliance processes across multiple jurisdictions (corporation tax, VAT, etc.) Analysing financial data to support business decision-making Identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems, and controls Partnering with non-finance stakeholders across the organisation

This role offers strong exposure to group-level reporting and provides an excellent platform for progression within a growing international business. About You ACA qualification (or recently qualified) Training within a recognised accountancy practice (Top 20 & Top 50 preferred) Strong technical accounting knowledge Excellent analytical ability and attention to detail Strong communication skills with the ability to engage non-finance stakeholders Proactive mindset with the confidence to take ownership Advanced Excel capability;

experience with accounting systems advantageous Desirable:
* Exposure to management accounts or industry environments
* Knowledge of UK GAAP and/or IFRS
