Job Description: As part of Leonardo, Kopter currently develops the AW09, a next generation single-engine helicopter that offers the largest cabin and cargo hold in its category, increased modularity and modern electronic systems. The AW09 delivers latest safety standards as well as more performance and comfort at low operating costs. Kopter is set to become Leonardo’s Centre of Excellence for new light helicopters and an incubator of new technologies, contributing to the development of hybrid and electrical propulsion systems.

Kopter’s 260 talented team members are primarily based in Switzerland, near Zurich and in Mollis (Canton of Glarus).

• Aircraft level Performance specification/technical data.
• Elaboration, validation and justification of models/tools based on tests (bench, ground and flight) results.
• Liaising with engine supplier for the engine performance model definition.
• Being responsible of Mass Properties methodologies and processes.
• Responsible to issue Load Sheets for Flight Operations.
• Populating aircraft Weight & Balance load cases introducing cabin layouts, optional kits, payload and fuel to verify compliance with the certification envelopes.
• Preparation of analysis reports with interpretation of the analysis results, including Type Certification compliance.

• University degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Performance or Weight & Balance domain.
• Knowledge of helicopter performance analyses, test data - models/tools validation.
• Knowledge of Mass Properties in aerospace applications.
• Working experience with Matlab, CAD tool “NX”, Team Center Unified.
• Good communication skills and experience in presenting results.
• B2 English level, both verbal and written.
• Good team player skills, self-driven attitude.
