Key Responsibilities- Log requests for offsite and diagnostic studies.
- Maintain mental health clinic logs and ensure that appointments are scheduled according to DOC protocols.
- Assist nurses and other staff in issuing and tracking minor medical equipment (e.g., heating pads).
- Collect data from ER logs, segregation logs, etc. for monthly QI reporting.
- Coordinate the scheduling of on‑site specialty appointments (e.g., X‑ray, physical therapy, medical‑surgical subspecialties).
- Answer telephone calls, take messages and make telephone calls as needed.
- Type correspondence, reports or memorandums, as needed.
- Maintain roster or appointment book based on scheduled appointments, both offsite and onsite, as needed.
- Order, receive and maintain office supplies.
- Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- At least one (1) year experience in a behavioral health care environment.
- Experience using Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Effective time management skills.
- Subject to initial and ongoing security clearance requirement.
- A background check, security clearance and drug screening are required for this role.
