DevOps Engineer

Onsite 5 Days a Week in Wethersfield, CT 6 Month Contract w/ Extensions, Potential Conversion $55/hr-$70/hr Desired Skills and Experience

• Experience supporting cloud migrations, including transitioning workloads from mainframe or legacy on‑prem environments to the cloud
• Strong background in Dev Ops practices within a Windows / Microsoft ecosystem, with exposure to Microsoft Azure
• Hands‑on experience designing or supporting CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows
• Experience with or strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code and configuration management concepts
• Ability to create and maintain clear technical documentation, standards, and best practices for broad team adoption

We are seeking a Dev Ops Engineer to support a large‑scale digital transformation initiative as the organization begins its journey migrating away from a legacy mainframe environment to a modern Microsoft Azure–based cloud platform. This role will be instrumental in laying the Dev Ops and cloud foundation, working closely with infrastructure, application, and security teams to define standards, select tools, and establish best practices that will support cloud‑native development and operations.

The Dev Ops Engineer will play a hands‑on role in automation, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code while also driving documentation, governance, and repeatable processes that enable a successful and scalable migration from on‑prem and mainframe systems to the cloud. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building from the ground up and influencing how an organization adopts cloud and Dev Ops at an enterprise level.
