Hartford Health Care Rehabilitation Network is the premier rehabilitation provider in Connecticut, offering services across the continuum—from acute care hospitals to community settings such as schools and colleges. This role supports high school contracts, community events, and outpatient offices in accordance with NATA guidelines.

Overview

We seek a per diem Athletic Trainer (ATC) to provide services with our network’s outpatient offices, high school contracts and community events.

Responsibilities

Provide athletic training services at high school sporting events, practices, and games; cover weekday and weekend shifts starting at 2 pm; collaborate with physicians and allied health professionals in a matrix organization; represent clinic and practice with strong customer service in the community.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Athletic Training required.
  • CT licensure and current NATABOC Certification in good standing.
  • Current First Aid and Professional Rescuer CPR Certification.
  • Basic computer and other technological skills.
  • CSCS certification, CPR instructor certification, FMS or SFMA certification preferred.
The Successful Candidate Will
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Be self‑motivated, able to work independently, and function strongly within a team environment.
  • Be comfortable working with physicians and other members of the Allied Health Care team in a matrix organization with multiple reporting responsibilities.
  • Display strong customer service skills, representing both clinic and practice positively outside of the clinic and within the community.
