Sr. Accountant

Description

Our client in Wethersfield, CT is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their finance team on a contract-to-permanent basis. If you have a passion for accounting and thrive in fast-paced environments, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

+ Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of the general ledger

+ Lead and participate in month-end close, including journal entries and financial statement preparations

+ Analyze financial data and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects, process improvements, and audits

+ Prepare reports and provide insights to management on account variances

Requirements

+ 4+ years of professional accounting experience, ideally as a Senior Accountant or in a similar capacity

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)

+ Strong background in reconciliation processes and month-end close procedures

+ Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
