Part Time Pharmacy Assistant

We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Assistant to join our Pharmacy team on a part time basis at HMP Wealstun
, a busy Category C male training and resettlement prison near Wetherby.

Part‑time, 12 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:00‑17:00. No weekends or bank holidays. Salary: up to £29,723 per annum FTE, depending on experience.

• Work within the onsite pharmacy, joining a team of 14
• Support Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Manager, as well as the wider healthcare team
• Label and dispense medications, and prepare prescriptions
• Second check controlled drugs
• Contribute to medicine reconciliation, stock management and medicine transportation
• Ensure a safe and secure medicines‑management service, following policies, procedures and SOPs

• An NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Dispensing
• Experience with in a pharmacy environment – community, hospital or prison/secure setting
• Experience in a patient/customer‑facing role
