We are seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to take ownership of the day-to-day transactional accounting. This is an ideal role for a finance professional who enjoys variety and wants to be a key player in a busy, successful head office.

The RoleAs a Finance Assistant, you will provide essential support to the finance function, ensuring the smooth operation of both the sales and purchase ledgers while acting as a key point of contact for financial queries.
Key Responsibilities:
Full Ledger Support: Processing purchase invoices and credit notes, and performing regular statement reconciliations.
Credit Control & Cash Flow: Proactively managing the aged debtors list and chasing outstanding payments to maintain healthy cash flow.
Banking & Payments: Handling supplier payment runs, posting bank entries, and processing credit card payments.
Account Management: Overseeing the onboarding of new customers and suppliers, including credit checks and account setup.
Operational Finance: Managing the finance inbox, processing staff expenses, and releasing orders once payment is secured.
The successful candidate will be a proactive "all-rounder" who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Experience: You will have a proven background in a transactional finance role (Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, or similar).
Technical
Skills:
Highly proficient in MS Office.
Previous experience with SAP is a significant advantage.Communication: You must be comfortable on the phone, whether you are resolving supplier queries or negotiating payment terms with debtors.
Detail-oriented: A commitment to accuracy is essential, particularly when managing high-volume data entry and bank postings.
Salary: A competitive £30,355 per annum.
