Get to Know Your Team:
* Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.
Responsibilities
* The RN Staff Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population in order to achieve desired outcomes.
* This position directs and oversees the care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination.
* This position effectively coordinates patient care/unit activities among nursing peers, physicians and support services.
* The RN Staff Nurse reports to the Nurse Manager
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
* Graduate of an NLN/AACN-accredited program in nursing
* Current valid NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license.
* BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
* Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS)
* Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
* Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
* 2 years of experience required
* Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) Certification, with successful completion of
certification within 6 months of hire
* Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENCP), with successful completion of
Certification within 6 months of hire
* Experience with electronic health records is a plus
The rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components, such as differentials and call pay, depending on the role.
