Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Biomedical Equipment Technician II to join our team in Westwood, NJ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and calibration of a wide range of biomedical equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on biomedical equipment including diagnostic, therapeutic, and monitoring devices.
• Calibrate and test equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with manufacturer specifications and regulatory standards.
• Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Collaborate with clinical staff to address equipment issues and provide technical support and training as needed.
• Assist in the evaluation and installation of new biomedical equipment.
• Maintain inventory of parts and supplies necessary for equipment maintenance and repair.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements including OSHA, FDA, and Joint Commission standards.

• Associate degree or equivalent in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Biomedical Equipment Technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of biomedical equipment, electronics, and medical device regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with clinical and technical teams.
• Certification such as CBET (Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician) preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between facilities as needed.

This position is based in Westwood, NJ and may require occasional travel to other nearby facilities. The role involves working in clinical environments and requires adherence to strict safety protocols.
