This nursing role acts as a leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Scope & Standards of Practice. The RN leads, delegates, directs, and assists licensed and ancillary team members while assuming accountability for quality patient outcomes and maintaining a culture of cultural, ethnic, and religious sensitivity.

Responsibilities- Effectively use the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.
- Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies appropriate for diverse patient, family, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources (human and fiscal) and serve as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team.
- Use data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change in order to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Embrace concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction, employee morale, and the profession of nursing.
- Adopt appropriate communication styles and privacy practices for the specific patient population.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Education:
Registered nurse diploma required. Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred. - Work Experience:
None required. - Certifications:
Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required. Certification in a clinical specialty area preferred. - Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Proficiency in computers, software, and web-based applications; effective verbal and written communication; strong interpersonal skills; good organizational and time management; self‑directed decision making; good judgement.
Heavy work: occasional lifting of 50–100 pounds, frequent lifting of 25–50 pounds, and constant lifting of 10–20 pounds. Requires walking, standing, or sitting most of the time. Exposure to blood, body fluids, tissues, communicable diseases, hazardous medications, and hazardous waste is possible.
