Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
Must Have- 2 Years with Bachelor of Science degree in related field; 0 years of relevant professional experience with a Master's Degree
- Previous shipbuilding experience, especially with combat systems, is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and AutoCAD.
- Should have experience managing all activities associated with shipboard systems, including establishing technical requirements and overseeing system integration.
- Should have background in researching, developing, and designing electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks in alignment with contractual, military, and commercial specifications.
- Should have ability to develop and review procurement specifications, evaluate vendor proposals, and approve vendor-furnished information for use in construction products.
- Should have experience collaborating with vendors and Navy technical representatives, supporting design reviews, and participating in testing activities.
- Familiarity with creating drawings and documentation in accordance with Mil-Specs and contract requirements.
- Strong cross-discipline coordination skills to ensure seamless integration of assigned systems into the ship environment.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues, provide sound technical decisions within assigned areas, and support shipbuilding production teams as needed.
