Accounts Payable Clerk

Join our team in the Corporate Office at Lafrance Hospitality located in Westport, MA
. We are excited to add a new member to our Accounts Payable Team
.

We are looking to fill the position of a Full-Time Accounts Payable Clerk
.

Pay: $20 - $25 per hour based on experience

• Process and manage vendor invoices and payments including scanning into system
• Create vendor master files as needed
• Review invoices for proper General Ledger coding
• Review invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to entry
• Respond to external vendors and internal departments regarding all aspects of the A/P process
• Select invoices for payment, print checks and prepare for mailing
• Reconcile vendor statements, and research and correct discrepancies
• Maintain payment schedule for all recurring invoices

Job Type: Full Time

Schedule: Monday - Friday, Day Shift, 8 hour shift

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 - 2 years of experience in accounts payable (preferred)
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles
• Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills
• Maintains high degree of accuracy
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
• Proficient in the use of computers, MS Office (including Word, Excel), accounting software
• Professional and courteous telephone manners
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn all aspects of accounts payable
• Able to work as a team member in the accounting department and to be able to interact with other departments within the company
