Position: 2026 Summer Intern, CyberSecurity

The office is headquartered in Westport, CT with satellite offices in New York City, Singapore, and Abu Dhabi. This position is hybrid, in our Westport, CT office.

Position Summary:

The Cybersecurity team is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Intern to join our security operations team. The intern will play an integral role in supporting day‑to‑day cybersecurity operations, focusing on triaging and escalating alerts, tracking security tickets, managing third‑party due diligence tasks, and maintaining key security metrics. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in a dynamic cybersecurity environment, while supporting critical initiatives within the organization.

The internship is a summer program, starting in June and ending in August 2026.

Day‑to‑day responsibilities would include a combination of the following:

  • Monitor and gatekeep security alerts from the 24x7 Security Operations Center (SOC), escalating high‑severity issues as needed.
  • Maintain and track the security queue within the ticketing platform (JIRA), responding to tickets and collaborating with IT to resolve issues.
  • Escalate tickets to the appropriate security team members when necessary.
  • Acknowledge high‑risk travel tickets promptly, applying proper guidance and escalating as needed.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to manage third‑party due diligence tickets, escalating high‑priority tickets to ensure timely resolution.
  • Assist in maintaining cybersecurity metrics, including the number of security events, incidents, investigations, and third‑party due diligence completed, as well as Zoom recording and email block data.
  • Support the creation of reports summarizing security activities and trends.
  • Provide general support to the cybersecurity team, assisting with additional tasks and ensuring actions are documented in compliance with company security policies.
  • Additional duties as assigned

Apply for this role if you have:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelors degree program related to Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with basic cybersecurity concepts and tools.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Basic understanding of ticketing systems and collaboration tools (experience with platforms such as Jira, Service Now, SLACK or others is a plus).
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Knowledge of common security frameworks and best practices (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS).
    • Basic understanding of security incident response processes.
    • Experience with SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools is a plus.
    • Experience or familiarity with third‑party risk management practices.

Internship Dates:
June 15 th - August 21 st

Compensation:

Compensation for the role includes an hourly wage of $20/hr this position is eligible for statutory benefits only.
