Overview
Full Time position in Hawkes Bay - Hastings. This role is part of the Immunisation Outreach contract created to meet a Government health target of 95% of tamariki fully immunised at 24 months.
Role Responsibilities- Work with a Registered Nurse to drive Immunisation Outreach in the local community.
- Raise awareness of immunisation with the goal of multi-generational commitment within whānau.
- Provide education and health literacy to whānau to protect against disease in their whānau and the wider population.
- Empower whānau to build healthier and safer lifestyles for their household.
- Certificate in Health and Wellbeing or experience in Health Promotion
- Live in the local community and know the area
- Ability to educate and motivate whānau
- Professional in all aspects of mahi, from presentation to practice
- High standards of confidentiality
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current New Zealand FULL Driver’s License
- Ability to speak Te Reo and understand tikanga Māori (and/or willingness to learn)
This is a full-time role Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm for a fixed term to 30 June 2026.
