We are seeking a Technical Manager – Asset Performance to join our operations team. Reporting into the Technical Director, this role will provide deep technical expertise, lead complex optimization efforts, and support the continuous improvement of anaerobic digestion and renewable natural gas production across the operating fleet.
Responsibilities- Conducts advanced monitoring and interpretation of chemical, mechanical, biological, and operational KPIs across the digester fleet; develops and implements engineered strategies for system optimization and enhanced RNG yield.
- Serves as a senior technical resource for diagnosing complex process inefficiencies, conducting structured troubleshooting, and guiding data driven operational improvements.
- Supports new anaerobic digestion (AD) projects from the late‑stage commissioning phase through stabilization into full‑scale operations, ensuring robust process transition and technical continuity.
- Develops and maintains the standardized capital improvement project process, including technical evaluations, feasibility analysis, business case development, and risk identification.
- Evaluates emerging technologies, equipment, and operational approaches; collaborates across engineering, development, and feedstock teams to assess opportunity fit and prepare technical justification.
- Manages multiple high complexity operational and capital project workflows simultaneously, ensuring consistency, technical accuracy, and effective cross‑functional coordination.
- Utilizes advanced modeling and analytical tools (e.g., environmental modeling, optimization frameworks, or GIS based assessments) to improve forecasting, process control, and decision‑making.

Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in biosystems, chemical, mechanical, or environmental engineering, or a similar field.
- 5‑7 years of engineering or operations experience in renewable energy, biological systems, wastewater treatment, industrial processes, or similar environments.
- Flexibility to travel to operational project sites as needed.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Postgraduate degree in Engineering, Environmental Management, Renewable Energy, or related discipline.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of operational and environmental issues, processes, and impacts, particularly linked to renewable energy.
- Experience in anaerobic digestion, wastewater treatment, and/or food chemistry preferred.
- Experience in commissioning activities, technology evaluation, process modeling, or multi‑objective optimization approaches, consistent with advanced academic and industry practices in the field.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
