Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech CVOR

Job Details:

• Work 11:00 AM to 10:30 PM shifts with cardiac call responsibilities

• 36 guaranteed hours for 3x12 shifts or 40 hours for 8/10 hour shifts

• Minimum 6 cardiac call shifts per month (may increase to 10 if short staffed)

• Perform cardiovascular and vascular surgical procedures, with other cases if no cardiac procedures scheduled

• Float within scope to meet facility needs and to sister facilities as required

• 18 months experience required, 2+ years strongly preferred

• Strong vascular and CVOR experience required

• NBSTSA/NCCT certification preferred but not required

• BLS certification required

• Must be nicotine-free with negative 10-panel plus nicotine drug screen

• 40 hours of orientation required

• EKG and pharmacy tests required during orientation (2 attempts maximum)

• Complete 6-15 hours of pre-start modules (4 hours billable)

• Use EPIC charting system

• Must participate in teaching activities with students and new staff

• All RTO must be submitted at time of application

This 230-bed short-term acute care teaching hospital provides comprehensive surgical services with a focus on cardiovascular and vascular procedures. The facility maintains Magnet recognition and operates 18 operating rooms with a daily census of 55-60 patients. The organization emphasizes advanced surgical techniques and technology, including Da Vinci Xi Surgical System and comprehensive cardiac and vascular capabilities, while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.
