Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM with liver call coverage

• Perform liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant procedures (not just harvesting)

• Handle other surgical cases when no transplant procedures scheduled

• On-call requirement: 1 shift per week and 2 twelve-hour weekend shifts per month

• Guaranteed 36 hours for 3x12 schedule or 40 hours for 8/10 schedule

• Must be proficient in MISONIX/CUSA equipment

• Float within scope to meet facility needs as required

• Required certifications: AHA or American Red Cross ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (must obtain prior to start)

• 2 years of direct liver/transplant OR RN experience required

• Must participate in teaching activities with students and new staff

• 40 hours of orientation required

• Epic charting system experience preferred

• Must be nicotine-free - negative 10 panel + nicotine drug screen required

• EKG and pharmacy test required during orientation with maximum 2 attempts each

• Complete 6-15 hours of pre-start modules with 4 hours billable

• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations

The facility maintains Magnet status and operates 18 operating rooms with a daily census of patients. The organization utilizes Epic charting system and provides comprehensive specialty surgical services with a strong focus on transplant medicine and organ donation procedures.
