Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM with liver call responsibilities

• Handle liver transplant cases as priority, with other cases assigned when no liver/transplant surgeries scheduled

• Guaranteed 36 hours for 3x12 shifts or 40 hours for 8/10 hour shifts

• Must have strong liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant experience reflected on skills checklist

• Must be proficient in MISONIX/CUSA equipment

• Required experience putting organs back in new patient, not just harvesting

• Minimum 2 years of direct liver/transplant OR RN experience required

• Required certifications: AHA or American Red Cross ACLS, BLS (must have at time of submittal), NIHSS (must obtain prior to start)

• On-call requirement: 1 shift per week and 2 twelve-hour weekend shifts per month

• 40-hour orientation required

• Must be willing to float within scope to meet facility needs

• Must participate in training students and new staff at this teaching facility

• Work with adult and geriatric patients in 18-room operating suite

• Daily census of 55-60 patients

• Must be nicotine free - negative 10 panel plus nicotine drug screen required

• EKG and pharmacy test required during orientation with maximum 2 attempts each
