HGV Mechanic

Location:

Weston-super-Mare
Pay: £42,000

Hours:

M-F 6am-3.30pm & 8.30am-6pm

Contract:

Full time permanent role

• Maintain and repair a fleet of circa 300 HGV’s to DVSA and manufacturer standards
• Carry out inspections, servicing, MOT preparation and complete service documentation
• Perform preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and improve fleet reliability
• Diagnose faults using advanced diagnostic equipment, including auto-electrical systems

• Apprenticeship trained with City & Guilds HGV Parts 1, 2 & 3 or equivalent qualification
• Proven experience servicing, repairing and fault-finding on commercial vehicles
• Strong knowledge of vehicle body electrics, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Experience with in the waste management sector is advantageous
• LGV Class C / HGV Class 2 licence desirable but not essential
• Ability to work independently, safely and competently in a physically demanding role
• Reliable, proactive and committed to delivering high standards of workmanship
