Role

Purpose:

As a direct employee of VANS, the rolewill be instrumental in overseeing the development and delivery of existingthe existing

Domestic Abuse Recovery Service (DARS) service.

Hours:

7.4hoursa weeksplit intoat least 2 half days,whichcan be flexible to meettheneedsofindividual

Salary:£27,000per annum(pro-rata)

Contract:

6months,January
26–July 26, with the potential to be extended shouldadditionalfunding be achieved.

Specifics of the role:

The DARS Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the operations of the VANS Domestic Abuse Recovery Service, ensuring that all services are delivered safely, ethically, andin accordance withbest practice guidance for domestic abuse support. The role emphasizes trauma-informed care and adherence to safeguarding standards, guaranteeing that support provided to individuals is both effective and respectful.

Key Responsibilities

Service:

• Coordinate the day-to-day running of the Domestic Abuse Recovery Service.
• To provide compassionate, confidential, and effective referrals for individuals who have experienced domestic abuse, ensuring they receive appropriate counselling.
• Connect survivors with trauma-informedcounsellors.
• Handle all information sensitively and in compliance with safeguarding policies.
• Ensure service delivery meets targets, quality standards, and outcomes.

Operations:

• Oversee Lamplight (CRM) system and ensureaccuraterecording of client information, outcomes, reporting indicators and finances.
• Produce internal and external reports for commissioners, funders, and stakeholders.
• Represent DARS at multi-agency meetings, forums, and professional networks.

VANS Organisational:

• Report any issuesimmediatelyto VANS Chief Executive.
• Be aware of and implement VANS safeguarding responsibilities and duties in relation to the project.
• Embrace and embody VANS values todemonstratebest practices in collaborative and partnership working behaviours.
• Promote equal opportunities (in accordance withthe Equality Act) through all aspects of work.
• Undertake other duties which may, from time to time, be necessary to further the work of VANS.
