Click on this link to find out about our values The post‑holder will work under the supervision of a registered Therapist and will contribute to the provision of a comprehensive assessment and rehabilitation service for Outpatients with musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions at Weston General Hospital.
The core working hours are 08:30‑16:00; the post‑holder may be required to contribute to late working or weekends.
- Deliver a defined range of activities within groups and 1‑1 appointments, including problem solving and use of initiative.
- Contribute to the therapy management of the patient under the responsibility of registered Therapists.
- Carry out specific rehabilitation activities to improve core function skills such as balance, mobility, upper limb strength and function.
- Perform non‑clinical tasks such as stock taking and ordering equipment essential to the smooth running of the department.
- Work as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication skills and great time‑management skills.
- Relevant experience of working in a healthcare setting; experience of working in an outpatient setting is essential.
- Understanding of the role of occupational therapy and physiotherapy in an outpatient setting will be assessed at interview.
- Demonstrate the ability to manage sensitive and/or complicated information related to patient's diagnosis or social situation.
- Fluent English to an appropriate standard (assessed at interview).
