Campania is a spacious Victorian care home in Weston-super-Mare, close to the seafront and pier. It provides specialist support for individuals living with mental health conditions, including Korsakoff’s syndrome and Alcohol-Related Brain Damage, with care for up to 41 residents. You’ll be a key person in helping us maintain an excellent standard of care and will be an integral part of our care team to promote the values and ethos of our home.

• Empower Independence: Assist residents with daily routines, from getting dressed to staying active, while encouraging independence and positive choices.
• Personalised Care: Follow and support each resident’s personalised care plan, providing hands-on help and attentive, individualized care.
• Health and Wellbeing: Monitor residents’ health, communicate concerns to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager, and assist with calls to relatives or healthcare professionals as needed.
• Champion Dignity: Uphold the dignity and respect of each resident in every interaction.
• Social Support: Encourage social interactions among residents and staff to create a warm, welcoming environment.
• Safety and Comfort: Work with housekeepers to maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces; respond quickly to emergencies or call bells.
• Nutritional Support: Assist residents who need help with eating and drinking, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
• Spread Smiles: Bring joy to residents’ lives and help them smile every day.

• Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is preferred.
• Experience: Ideally, at least 6 months as a Care Assistant; we welcome those with transferable skills and a genuine passion for care.
• Passion: Genuine interest in caring for the elderly and delivering excellent service.
