Position: Field-Based Clinical Pharmacist

Our clients span diverse sectors, including ophthalmic hospitals, mental health institutions, rehabilitation clinics, and residential homes.

Based in Chester, our nationwide distribution network is supported by a team of specialist clinical pharmacists located near clients’ premises.

Role Description

We are seeking a part-time Field-Based Clinical Pharmacist to be based near to one of our clients in the Weston‑Super‑Mare area. This role involves delivering professional clinical pharmacy services, supporting healthcare teams in medicines management, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and providing expert pharmaceutical care including delivery of training. Responsibilities include performing on‑site pharmaceutical reviews, providing guidance on medicine usage, and supporting healthcare professionals in lowering risks associated with medication management.

Qualifications

and requirements
  • Degree in Pharmacy and current registration with the GPhC
  • Mental health experience would be beneficial
  • Strong expertise in Pharmacy Practice, Pharmacy, and Pharmaceutical Care
  • Comprehensive knowledge of medicines and their use
  • Knowledge of GPhC and CQC requirements regarding medicines management
  • Great attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Previous experience within the healthcare or independent sector is a plus
  • Ability and willingness to travel to support other locations if needed
