We are looking for a receptionist with a warm, professional manner and a passion for supporting young people and their families. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our front‑of‑house operations, providing a welcomingाय and efficient reception service across both the main reception and student services areas. This includes managing visitor sign‑in, handling telephone and email enquiries, supporting students with day‑to‑day queries, and assisting with administrative tasks for the wider team.
Working 37 hours per week, term time only (plus inset days), you’ll be the first point of contact for visitors, students, and staff, helping to create a positive and safe environment for all.
About you:You will:
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with Lottery engagement warmly and professionally with students, staff, parents, and visitors.
- Be confident using IT systems, including Microsoft Office and email, and ideally have experience with school management systems such as Bromcom.
- Be highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
- Demonstrate empathy, patience and a calm approach when dealing with sensitive situations or safeguarding matters.
- Be committed to confidentiality, safeguarding, and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Be flexible gut reliable, and enthusiastic about working in a school setting.
- Welcoming visitors, managing sign‑in procedures, and ensuring safeguarding protocols are followed.
- Answering telephone and email enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Supporting students and staff with day‑to‑day administrative needs.
- Maintaining accurate records and supporting with data entry and reporting.
- Assisting with general office duties such as photocopying, filing, and ordering supplies.
